What is the ruling on a purchasing officer buying goods for his company from his own private company, if his company's price is the lowest?

The purchasing agent is an agent on behalf of the company, and it is not permissible for him to buy for himself or sell from himself, except with the permission of his principal. If the principal permits him to do so, it is permissible according to the majority of scholars, provided that he does not favor himself.
