What is the ruling on a girl refusing to marry a religious man for the sake of work, and is she sinful for doing that?

A girl should accept a suitor who possesses religious commitment and good character, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "If there comes to you one whose religious commitment and character you approve, then marry [your daughter] to him; otherwise, there will be tribulation on earth and widespread corruption." One should not reject a suitor based on flimsy pretexts, such as wanting to finish studies or work, for marriage does not conflict with these. Rather, it leads to lowering the gaze, protecting one's chastity, psychological comfort, and the well-being of society. A suitor should not be rejected because of his profession, as compatibility in marriage lies in religious commitment and character, not in profession. However, a girl does not incur sin if she rejects a suitor who possesses religious commitment and good character, because the command to marry him is understood as a recommendation.
