What is the ruling on repeatedly uttering the Two Testimonies (Shahadatain) due to obsessive doubts concerning the pronunciation of the letter "lām," and is it permissible to pronounce the letter in any way? Is intention a prerequisite when uttering the Two Testimonies in instances where they are obligatory?

The person afflicted with waswasah (obsessive whispering) must disregard it and consider himself a Muslim, because one who enters Islam with certainty does not exit it except with certainty. The best cure for waswasah is to completely turn away from it and not indulge in it with Satan. Increasing the remembrance of Allah Almighty is among the best acts of drawing near to Him, as stated in His saying: "And the men who remember Allah often and the women who remember Him - Allah has prepared for them forgiveness and a great reward." As for doubting the pronunciation of the letter lam, it is from waswasah as long as you pronounce it correctly in your normal speech; therefore, you must disregard this waswasah.
