Is it permissible to supplicate with, "O Allah, grant me of faith and steadfastness what You have granted to the prophets," and "O Allah, grant me of wisdom what You have granted to Luqman and the truthful"?

It is not permissible to ask for the stations of the Prophets in supplication (Du'a), but it is permissible to ask for the station of the truthful (Siddiqin). Asking for the stations of the Prophets is considered an transgression in supplication. It is permissible to supplicate for wisdom, which was bestowed upon Luqman and the truthful, based on the view that he (Luqman) was a truthful person and not a prophet, and this is the view of the majority. However, if he was a prophet, then it is not permissible to ask for his status. The rank of truthful-ness (Siddiqiyyah) is the highest rank of servitude after prophethood, and it comprises varying degrees.
