What is the ruling on money earned from treating dogs in a veterinary clinic?

Kindness to animals is one of the virtues brought by Islam, and it carries immense reward. The Prophetic hadiths have clarified the merit of watering and caring for animals. Therefore, treating dogs in veterinary clinics is considered an act of kindness for which you are rewarded. It does not harm you that some of their owners may not be permitted to keep them, as you are treating dogs whose ownership is permissible, and you advise those who keep them without need. As for harmful dogs, it is permissible to kill them, and caring for them is not allowed, whereas non-harmful dogs should be treated with kindness. It is advisable to wear gloves and be cautious of their wetness when dealing with them due to their impurity.
