The answer

It is not permissible to watch foreign and dubbed films due to their inclusion of objectionable elements such as immodest display (tabarruj), intermingling of sexes (ikhtilat), music, and obscene language. These films incite souls towards forbidden desires. Such films are among the steps of Satan, which we have been forbidden from following in the Holy Quran: "O you who have believed, do not follow the footsteps of Satan. And whoever follows the footsteps of Satan - indeed, he enjoins immorality and wrongdoing." The alternative is permissible learning, reading Quranic and Prophetic stories, Islamic history books, biographies, consulting religious experts, and choosing righteous female companions.
