Is daydreaming about seeing men, and not having desire towards women, a trial or an illusion, and is marriage in this case forbidden?

A man's inclination towards others of his own kind is contrary to human nature (fitra). He is not held accountable for it unless it is an acquired inclination or leads to disobedience. However, if it is acquired or leads to disobedience, then he is sinful. One should strive to resist these inclinations and beware of falling into sins. Seeking treatment from specialists is recommended, as is frequent supplication for chastity, such as "O Allah, I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity, and self-sufficiency" (Allahumma inni as'aluka al-huda wa al-tuqa wa al-'afafa wa al-ghina) and "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of my hearing, my sight, my heart, and my semen" (Allahumma inni a'udhu bika min sharri sam'i wa basari wa qalbi wa maniyyi). One should choose times when supplications are likely to be answered. Furthermore, marriage is a solution for those who desire chastity and becomes obligatory for those who fear falling into what is forbidden.
