If taxes are illicit, then it is not permissible to pay them except under compulsion. If taxes are imposed on real estate, then the owners (you and your father) should pay them, and the residents are not obligated to pay them. You have the right to demand rent for their dwelling in the house, and your family does not have the right to compel you to pay what is not incumbent upon you or to silence you from your right. We advise dealing with wisdom to avoid discord.
