Is it permissible to give in charity from a deceased person's trust money, or must it be returned to their family, and to whom specifically should it be returned?

Whoever has money belonging to a deceased person must return it to their heirs. It is not permissible for him to give it as charity, because it has become their right, to be divided among them according to Islamic law. The money should be handed over to the trustworthy one among them, or to all of them if there is a fear that one of them might take exclusive possession of it.
