How is the inheritance of my grandmother, who passed away, to be distributed among: my mother (her only daughter), full siblings (one brother and one sister), and two half-brothers from the father's side?
If a woman dies leaving behind one daughter, one full brother, one full sister, and two paternal half-brothers, and no other heirs, then the daughter receives one-half (½). The remainder goes to the full brother and full sister by ta’sib (residuary heirship), with the male receiving the share of two females. The two paternal half-brothers receive nothing, as they are excluded by the full brother. The inheritance is divided into six shares: the daughter receives three shares, the full brother receives two shares, and the full sister receives one share. It is advisable to refer the matter to courts or consult scholars to verify all heirs, bequests, and debts.
