How are homosexuals treated in Malaysia (Muslims and non-Muslims), what is the severity of their punishment, is sodomy considered legal, and to what extent does society understand it?

Muslims in Malaysia should detest homosexual acts, for Islam strictly forbids them, and their punishment is great and painful in this world and the Hereafter. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever you find committing the act of the people of Lot, kill the one who does it and the one to whom it is done." Islamic scholars such as Malik, Shafi'i, Ahmad, and Ishaq said: He should be stoned, whether married or unmarried. Homosexuality contradicts God's natural order, leads to the corruption of families, affects procreation, spreads depravity, causes deadly diseases, harms the innocent, inflicts harm on children, and causes corruption on earth. Therefore, it is a scourge that must be eradicated.
