Is the name "Rama" forbidden and must it be changed because it refers to a Hindu god?

The name "Rama" is a foreign name for a king of the Hindus, to whom the book "Ramayana" is attributed, which deals with political and constitutional ideas. The name must be changed if it refers to a temple dedicated to other than Allah, or the name of a god or a holy book among them, or a great polytheist worshipped for his legislations. Changing it might even be desirable. Therefore, it is not permissible to name a child with this name, and it must be changed.
