Is our Hajj valid, and what is incumbent upon us if we performed Hajj but did not perform the Farewell Tawaf?

The Farewell Circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') is obligatory for every pilgrim upon departing Mecca, except for menstruating women and women in postpartum bleeding. Whoever omits it forgetfully or out of ignorance owes a sacrifice (dam) but incurs no sin. Whoever omits it intentionally owes a sacrifice (dam) and incurs sin if they have exceeded the distance of qasr (shortening prayers) from Mecca. The Hajj is considered valid in all cases if the obligation was performed. Therefore, if the place of residence is Jeddah, one must return to perform the Farewell Circumambulation because the qasr distance has not been reached. However, if the residence is in a country beyond the qasr distance, then one must slaughter a sheep and distribute its meat to the poor of the Haram.
