Is it permissible for a woman who has become pure from menstruation but has not yet performed ghusl to give a quarter-mithqal in charity on behalf of herself and her husband who had intercourse with her, given her fear of informing him of this?

The woman erred by allowing her husband to have intercourse with her before she had performed the ghusl (definition) (ritual bath) after menstruation, based on the Almighty’s saying: "And do not approach them until they are purified." Scholars have unanimously agreed on the prohibition of intercourse with a menstruating woman until she performs ghusl.

The woman must repent and seek forgiveness for this sin. Neither she nor her husband is required to offer expiation, because intercourse did not occur during menstruation. Rather, intercourse before performing ghusl only entails sin. The woman is not obliged to inform her husband of what happened.
