Does a triple divorce take effect if the husband said it to his brothers over the phone in a moment of anger, and he did not inform his wife of this? And is there a way to take her back?

If a husband says to his brothers, "My wife is divorced," while being aware of what he is saying, the divorce takes effect even if the wife is unaware. However, if his intention was to lie to his brothers, then the divorce does not religiously take effect.

If the divorce occurs with the pronouncement of "three" (i.e., triple divorce), it is a major irrevocable divorce (baynunah kubra), after which the woman is not lawful for her husband unless she marries another man willingly and he consummates the marriage with her, then divorces her or dies, and her waiting period (iddah) from him ends. This is the view of the majority of jurists. Some scholars, however, are of the opinion that a triple divorce pronounced at once counts as a single divorce, and in this case, the wife may be taken back (revoked) if she has not been divorced more than once before.
