What is the Sunnah after rising from rukoo’ (bowing): Is it to let the arms hang loosely or to place the right hand over the left?

Contemporary scholars differed regarding the ruling on placing the hands after rising from rukūʿ (bowing). Some, like Ibn Baz, held that it is recommended to place the right hand over the left on the chest, considering letting them hang down as disliked (makrūh) and contrary to the Sunnah. They cited the general ḥadīths concerning placing the hands during standing.

Others held that the hands should be left hanging down after rukūʿ, and Al-Albani held that placing them (on the chest) is an innovation (bidʿah). This issue is a jurisprudential sub-matter, and it should not be a cause of conflict among Muslims, as both actions are permissible.
