These actions are among the vices of the West and a deviant behavior that goes against human nature. However, by themselves, they do not reach the level of (polytheism) that expels one from the fold of Islam. Merely humbling oneself to a person and exalting them is not major Shirk. Furthermore, a person prostrating to someone other than Allah, when not intended as an act of worship, is not considered disbelief by many scholars.
