Is it true that the punishment for the fornicator is to bear the sin of the husband of the married woman with whom they fornicated on the Day of Resurrection?

There is no mention in the sacred texts of specific accountability for adultery with the wife of a mujahid (one who strives in the path of God) or a neighbor. However, there are general texts indicating that the oppressor may bear the burden of the oppressed on the Day of Judgment if no other means of compensation is found. Moreover, the sin of adultery with the wife of a neighbor or a mujahid who is absent in obedience to God is greatly multiplied.

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, clarified that the bankrupt person from his ummah (community) is he who comes on the Day of Judgment with prayers, fasting, and zakat, but has wronged others. The wronged individuals are then given from his good deeds, and if his good deeds are exhausted, their sins are taken and cast upon him, after which he is cast into the Fire.

It has been narrated that adultery with the wife of an absent mujahid will cause the adulterer to be stopped on the Day of Judgment, so that the mujahid may take from his good deeds as much as he desires. Similarly, adultery with a neighbor's wife is more sinful than adultery with a hundred women who have no husbands.
