Proverbs are the depiction of meanings in the form of persons to establish the intended point and bring it closer to the mind. Allah has used proverbs in the Holy Qur’an. The science of proverbs in the Qur’an is one of the greatest and most beneficial sciences. Scholars have written books on it, such as "Amthal al-Qur'an" by Al-Mawardi and "Al-Amthal fi al-Qur'an al-Kareem" by Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyya.
