1- Who are Gog and Magog?

Knowledge of the true nature of Gog and Magog is obtained through established revelation. It is mentioned in the Sahihayn (Bukhari and Muslim) that they are two nations, vast in number, and that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Woe to the Arabs from an evil that has drawn near; today a hole has been opened in the wall of Gog and Magog like this" (and he made a circle with his thumb and forefinger). Muslim also mentions their emergence at the End of Times, and that Jesus, peace be upon him, will supplicate against them, and they will perish. In summary: they are from the Children of Adam, they existed during the time of Dhul-Qarnayn, and they will emerge at the End of Times from the East to spread corruption on Earth. This much is sufficient for knowing about them.
