How authentic is the Hadith: "Whoever gifts his beloved a bracelet of gold, Allah will replace it for him on the Day of Resurrection with a bracelet of fire," and does it imply the prohibition of wearing golden bracelets, rings, and earrings?

The aforementioned Hadith is Hasan (good) and indicates the disfavorability of wearing gold in the form of a ring. However, the majority of scholars have not acted upon its apparent meaning, and have permitted women to wear gold in all its forms, relying on other evidences that they considered stronger than this Hadith.
