Are cars considered ritually impure because gasoline is stored in them in wine bottles, and does riding in them during Ramadan affect the validity of the fast?

According to the Hanafis, Malikis, and Shafi'is, vessels that contained alcohol become pure by washing them. The Hanbalis differed, distinguishing between vessels that absorb alcohol, such as wood, which do not become pure by washing, and those that do not absorb it, such as glass, which do. It is permissible to use such vessels for carrying gasoline or other permissible substances after washing them. There is no blame on someone who rides in a car carrying gasoline, whether in Ramadan or otherwise, for impurity only transfers through direct contact and wetness simultaneously. Pure vessels do not become impure by merely touching an impure substance if both are dry.
