What is the ruling on wearing thick, flesh-colored socks if shoes reveal the feet? And is it obligatory to wear black socks?

It is permissible for a woman to wear socks that resemble her skin color if she maintains their covering, and it is not permissible for her to reveal them in front of non-mahram men. It is not obligatory to wear black socks; rather, the obligation is that the woman should not be a source of temptation. Ibn Baz, may Allah have mercy on him, mentioned that there is no harm in socks, whether they are black, green, or red, and the intention is for them to be covering and not to attract attention.
