Is it permissible to pay a bribe to a judge who rules only in favor of whoever pays him?

Bribery is forbidden and considered among the major sins, as stated in the Hadith: "The Messenger of Allah cursed the briber and the bribed." It is permissible to offer money to obtain a right or ward off injustice, but it is forbidden for the judge to accept it. If the judge accepts it to rule unjustly, then it is forbidden for both the giver and the receiver. Giving money to obtain a right is not considered bribery.
