The Day of Arafah is a great day for supplication, and the best supplication on it is what the Prophet (peace be upon him) and the Prophets before him said: "There is no god but Allah, alone, without partner. To Him belongs all sovereignty and all praise, and He is over all things competent." It is recommended to make abundant supplications (du'a), utter the Talbiyah (definition), perform remembrance (dhikr), say "Allahu Akbar" (Takbir), "Alhamdulillah" (Tahmid), and seek forgiveness (Istighfar), all while showing humility, weeping, regretting sins, and repenting. It is also recommended to supplicate for oneself, one's family, and all Muslims, with persistence, due to the great gathering of Muslims on this day, where supplications are answered and sins are forgiven. It is permissible to converse between supplications, but not during the supplication itself.
