If a woman desires to marry someone who is her equal (kufu') and her guardian (wali) prevents her (adhalaha), she has the right to refer her case to a judge to marry her off. Her marriage through the judge is valid, and her father’s unjustified anger does not harm her. However, she must still honor him and treat him kindly.
Regarding the father’s conditioning of divorce on his daughter marrying this man: since the girl has already married, the divorce of her mother has occurred according to the majority opinion.
