Is it permissible for a man to take a siesta with his two wives without intercourse, with one on his right and the other on his left?

It is permissible for a man to sleep between his two wives, but it is disliked for him to kiss or embrace one in front of the other. As for sexual intercourse, it is forbidden if the 'awrah (intimate parts) is exposed in front of the other wife, or if it is intended to cause harm. Otherwise, it is disliked according to the majority of jurists.

Al-Kamal ibn Al-Humam said: "It is disliked to have intercourse with one of them in the presence of the other, so she has the right not to respond if he requests it."

Al-Shirbini said: "It is disliked to have intercourse with one of them in the presence of the other, because it is far from chivalry, and the implication of a group of scholars' statements is that it is forbidden, and Qadi Abu Al-Tayyib explicitly stated it, and Al-Adhru'i deemed it correct."

Al-Ruhaibani said: "It is disliked to have physical contact with her in the presence of people if the 'awrah is covered, otherwise it is forbidden."
