What is the ruling on my future work as a doctor, and what specialization do you advise me to pursue, and what is the ruling on the money I will earn, knowing that I do not want to disobey Allah the Almighty, but in my country there are no hospitals that adhere to preventing the mixing of male doctors with female patients, and if I refuse to treat women, I might be fired from my job, and what is the ruling on seeing the 'awrah of children older than seven years, and does the ruling differ between male and female, and what is the ruling on my refusal to treat a child if his mother is a non-mahram to me?

The profession of medicine is noble. The general principle is that a man treats a man, and a woman treats a woman. It is not permissible to deviate from this principle except out of necessity or need, and only to the extent of that necessity or need. If a male doctor is compelled to treat a woman, he must fear Allah, be careful to avoid being in seclusion, and seek the assistance of a nurse. Specializing in pediatrics may be safer and further removed from temptation. It is not permissible to look at or touch the 'awrah of a child who has exceeded seven years of age, except out of necessity or need. The presence of the child's mother is permissible due to need.
