How can I consistently perform Salah and Siyam?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Perseverance in prayer is obligatory. It is the second pillar of Islam, the pillar of the religion, and the distinction between a Muslim and disbelief. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Between a man and polytheism and disbelief is the abandonment of prayer." Allah has commanded us to guard it, saying: "Guard strictly the prayers, especially the middle prayer; and stand before Allah with devotion." Whoever guards it has a covenant with Allah that He will admit him to Paradise, and whoever does not guard it has no covenant. It is the first thing a servant will be held accountable for on the Day of Resurrection; if it is sound, he will prosper and succeed, but if it is corrupt, he will fail and lose.

Likewise, the obligatory fasting must be performed because it is a pillar of Islam, except for those who are sick or traveling.

Strengthening faith is the most successful means of observing obligations and recommended acts, and abandoning prohibitions and disliked acts.
