What are the sayings of the Four Imams regarding seeking intercession through the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, such as the saying: "O Allah, we ask You by the status of the Prophet Muhammad," or the saying: "O Muhammad, ask your Lord for us"?

The previous fatwa mentioned the opinions of the four imams regarding seeking intercession through the person of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). However, regarding asking the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) after his death, such as saying: "O Muhammad, ask your Lord for us," it is a lie to attribute the permissibility of this to Malik or any other imams. Indeed, Shaykh al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah and al-Hafiz Ibn Abd al-Hadi explicitly stated that this has not been narrated from any of the imams of the Muslims. Furthermore, what is narrated about Malik reciting the verse "And if, when they wronged themselves" is false, as none of the imams mentioned the desirability of asking the Messenger after his death.
