What is the ruling on working in the construction and supply of slaughterhouses for pigs and their preparation, knowing that pork is forbidden?

If the purpose of establishing and supplying slaughterhouses is to destroy and dispose of pigs, then this is permissible, and earning from it is also permissible. However, if the intention is to assist their owners in slaughtering them for consumption, then this is not permissible, even if it would generate abundant wealth. This is because a small amount of what is permissible is better than a large amount of what is forbidden, for Allah Almighty says: "Say: 'Not equal are the evil and the good, although the abundance of evil may impress you.' So fear Allah, O you who possess understanding, that you may succeed." And the Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "Indeed, the Holy Spirit inspired in my heart that no soul will die until it has completed its provision and its lifespan. So fear Allah and be moderate in seeking your livelihood."
