Are the actions I mentioned—sometimes praying in the mosque, reading the Quran in the morning, and advising friends to abstain from smoking and singing—sufficient for me to enter Paradise, and can a program be set for me that guides to that?

We congratulate the questioner on his good deeds and urge him to do more of them with sincere intention for Allah, for entering Paradise is by the grace and mercy of Allah, not by deeds alone. A believer should combine hope for Allah’s reward with fear of Him. As for entering Paradise, it is a matter of the unseen unless there is an authentic text regarding it. The righteous deeds that lead to Paradise are adherence to the pillars of Islam, such as prayer, fasting, zakat, and Hajj, and supererogatory acts of worship, such as charity and night prayers. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, explained to Mu'adh that the head of the matter is Islam, its pillar is prayer, and the peak of its hump is jihad, and that the control of all that is restraining the tongue.
