Did any miracles occur for Imam Ibn Taymiyyah or his students, such as Ibn Al-Qayyim, during their lifetimes? What are examples of such, and which other scholars—whether contemporary or from earlier times—were known for miracles occurring to them?

The miracles (karamat) of the awliya' (saints/devout believers) are a truth affirmed by the Quran and Sunnah, and they were denied by the people of innovation (Ahl al-Bid'ah).

The true miracle of the awliya' is their adherence to the path of rectitude.

Among the miracles of Ibn Taymiyyah are his prediction of the Tatars' entry into Ash-Sham and their defeat, his expectation of his imprisonment and subsequent release, and his prostration in gratitude upon his enemy assuming power.

Examples of miracles of some of the Salaf (early Muslims) include: Khalid ibn al-Walid drinking poison without harm; Anas praying for rain; Silah ibn Ashyam praying for the return of his mule; light emanating from the body of Abu Ja'far al-Qari after his death; Abu Muslim al-Khawlani praying for a woman whose eyesight was restored; his prayer for a gazelle to be confined; Shaqiq hearing a voice commanding a cloud to water a specific crop; 'Amir ibn 'Abd al-Qays giving charity from his wealth without it diminishing; the vessels of Mutarrif ibn 'Abdullah glorifying Allah; Mutarrif's whip emitting light in the darkness; 'Abdullah ibn Shaqiq praying for a cloud to bring rain; Ibrahim ibn Adham gathering fresh dates from an oak tree; and the flour of Kahmas ibn al-Hasan not diminishing.

One must verify what is narrated regarding miracles, as many of them are not authentic, and some are exaggerated.
