Are there miracles (karamat) for the martyrs among the Companions or the Successors, and what is the evidence for that?

Many miraculous occurrences (karamat) befell the Companions, among them:

1. Asim ibn Thabit: Allah protected him with a swarm of hornets (or bees) from the Quraysh messengers who sought his body after his martyrdom. 2. Khubayb ibn Adi: He was provided with grapes out of season while imprisoned, and he prayed two rak'ahs before his execution, becoming the first to institute this prayer before being killed.

Similarly, miraculous occurrences happened to Abu Muslim al-Khawlani and other Tabi'in (successors). Belief in the karamat of the awliya' (saints) is one of the fundamental tenets of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, and they will continue until the Day of Judgment.
