What is the ruling of Islamic law on shunning the wife of a deceased brother and the two orphans due to her continuous harm and her incitement of the two orphans to not communicate?

It is advised to avoid severing ties of kinship and obligatory to maintain ties with and honor the two orphaned nephews, as they are unmarriageable kin (mahram) with whom maintaining ties is mandatory. It is also encouraged to improve the relationship with their mother and to counter her ill-treatment with kindness and patience, in accordance with the Almighty's saying: "Repel [evil] with that which is better." One must seek refuge in Allah and His protection from her evil. If an agreement cannot be reached, and it is impermissible to abandon a Muslim for more than three days, then one must greet her every three days. If there is fear of the mother harming the children, then one can meet them secretly or provide benefits to them and strive in their education and upbringing.
