What causes the emission of madhiy (pre-seminal fluid) after waking from sleep without a wet dream, and is it permissible to delay ghusl (ritual bathing) and prayer until returning from work?

If you wake up and find a discharge, then if it is madhiy, it does not necessitate ghusl; rather, it requires washing whatever part of the body it has touched, and performing wudu’, and it suffices to sprinkle water on the clothes. However, if it is maniy, it necessitates ghusl, even if you do not recall a wet dream. To know the difference between the two, you can refer to Fatwa no. 49071. If you are uncertain about which of the two has been discharged, some scholars say that you are bound by the ruling of both, while others say you may choose between them. It is obligatory to hasten to perform ghusl when it becomes due, and not to delay it until the prayer time expires, as that is a great sin.
