The aforementioned distance from the village does not exempt one from the obligation of Friday prayer, and one should not depart on Friday for work or travel if it leads to missing the Friday prayer. Scholars have disliked departing after Fajr and before Dhuhr, and have forbidden it after Dhuhr unless the prayer has been performed. Therefore, whoever leaves for a need must return to perform the prayer, and if returning is difficult, then one should not leave until after the prayer, or postpone the departure. One must beware of missing Friday prayer without a valid excuse.
