The answer

The Islamic has established rights for children upon parents, including upbringing, financial support, education, discipline, and justice. However, there is a difference between parental disobedience towards children and children's disobedience towards parents. Parents are forbidden from being disobeyed in matters of good, but children are not. Some narrations mention the command to show dutifulness to children, such as the : "Show dutifulness to your child, for just as your parents have a right over you, so too does your child have a right over you," which some hadith scholars have deemed weak.
