Who is Musaylimah the Liar, when did he claim prophethood, and what are the details of his story?

Musaylima the Liar, his name was Musaylima ibn Thumamah from Banu Hanifa. He claimed prophethood during the time of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and called himself Al-Rahman. The people of Yamamah followed him. He used to claim miracles, but Allah exposed his lies. For example, he spat into a well, and its water receded, and into another, and its water became bitter. The palm trees he watered with his ablution water withered, and those whose heads he stroked either became bald or lisped, and he blinded a man for whom he supplicated. He was killed in the Garden of Death in the Battle of Yamamah during the caliphate of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq.
