The question

Must I re-donate a charity that I intended to give monthly, but my husband had to spend it? Am I sinful for delaying a vow that I fulfilled? Is it obligatory to give charity to orphaned relatives if they are well-off, and what are the aspects of giving charity to them?

The answer

The husband is not permitted to dispose of the money designated for charity unless he has the wife's permission. If she permits him, then it is permissible. It is recommended to replace the money given in charity to ensure the continuation of good deeds, but there is no sin in not replacing it, because a mere intention does not make it obligatory unless it is a vow. Delaying the fulfillment of a contingent vow is permissible as long as it is not for a specific person who requests it, in which case it must be fulfilled immediately.
