Must a divorced woman seek permission from her ex-husband to go for Umrah with her son and father?

If the questioner is divorced, there is no objection to her traveling with her father, and her ex-husband's right over her is relinquished. However, her traveling with her child is not permissible except with the father's permission, because the resident father has a greater right to his custody.

If the questioner is still a wife, she must return to her husband's home, and it is not permissible for her to abandon him. Her travel requires his permission, unless she has not previously performed Umrah, in which case she may travel with her mahram.
