Is it permissible to leave a five-month-and-seven-day-old fetus that has miscarried and is still alive until it dies, or must it be placed in an incubator?

Intentionally aborting a fetus is not permissible due to the corruption and destruction of offspring it entails. The matter becomes more severe if the pregnancy has reached four months. However, saving, assisting, and nurturing a fetus if it is born alive is obligatory, as Allah Almighty says: "And whoever saves a life - it is as though he had saved all of mankind" (Al-Ma'idah:32). It is not permissible to abandon it until it dies, and whoever abandons it while able to save it has participated in the crime and incurs sin.
