Is it permissible to pray while wearing a wristwatch that has a picture of a person on it?

If the image is hand-drawn or copied from a hand-drawing, it is forbidden. If it is photographic, there is a difference of opinion regarding it, and it is preferable to avoid it to steer clear of controversy. Praying in clothes that have images or carrying items containing images during prayer is disliked by the majority of scholars due to the distraction it causes. The Hanbalis, however, deemed it forbidden to wear clothing with images during prayer, whether large or small, as it resembles the People of the Book. The prayer is valid regardless of whether we say it is disliked or forbidden. It is obligatory to get rid of hand-drawn images, and it is preferable to get rid of photographic ones to avoid controversy.
