What is my duty towards my 11-year-old sister who does not pray, especially since my mother refuses to urge her to pray, saying: "Leave her alone; there is a Lord above her who will hold her accountable," knowing that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Teach them [to pray] at seven and beat them [for it] at ten"?

Every guardian of a child must command them to pray when they reach seven years of age, and hit them for [not praying at] ten. The mother is punished for neglecting to guide her daughter to prayer. Your role is limited to advising your sister and guiding her gently and kindly.
