What is the ruling on purchasing an Amazon gift card with local currency, knowing that the seller and the bank take a commission, and I only pay the stated value of the card?

There is no harm in purchasing this card, for exchanging dollars for local currency is permissible if the exchange takes place in the same sitting. The commission taken by the seller or the bank is permissible, as it is a service fee or a recompense for their work. The Islamic Fiqh Academy has stipulated the permissibility of the issuing bank taking a commission from the merchant for the customer's purchases, provided that the selling price with the card is the same as the selling price with cash.
