How can we reconcile God's omnipresence with us in every place and time, and His closeness to us as mentioned in the verses of the Holy Qur'an, with the hadiths that mention His descent to the lowest heaven in the last third of the night to answer prayers? And are we obliged to adopt these hadiths and abandon what came in the Holy Qur'an?

One must believe in what Allah has informed about Himself and His Messenger, for all of it is revelation from Allah, and the Sunnah clarifies and explains the Qur’an. Indeed, Allah the Almighty is elevated in His essence above all His creation and His Throne. Despite His elevation, He knows everything and encompasses every hidden thing. So, His togetherness with creation is one of knowledge and encompassment, not of essence. Allah the Almighty is not questioned about what He does. He draws near to His servants whenever and however He wills, such as His drawing near to the people of Arafat or His descent to the lowest heaven every night. The servant believes in and submits to these attributes, and does not question them with "why" or "how," for there is nothing like unto Him. Allah Almighty’s descent to the lowest heaven every night is affirmed by continuously transmitted hadiths (Ahadith Mutawatirah) and agreed upon by the righteous predecessors (Salaf As-Salih). It is a truth that must be believed in without alteration, anthropomorphism, or allegorical interpretation.
