What is the ruling on one who curses "Israel" with obscene phrases, intending thereby the state of the Jews, knowing that "Israel" is the Prophet of God Jacob, peace be upon him, and what is the ruling on one who curses the Arabic language with obscene phrases, in reference to his non-Arab friend?

Some scholars have issued a fatwa stating the impermissibility of reviling "Israel," even if the intent is the Jewish state, because Israel is the Prophet Jacob, peace be upon him. One should say, "May the curse of Allah be upon the Jews," instead of, "May the curse of Allah be upon Israel." Similarly, it is not permissible to revile the Arabic language.
