What should I do after unintentionally breaking a part of the toilet in a shopping mall's restroom?

If the toilet broke without negligence on your part, then you are not liable for it, because it was damaged through authorized use. However, if it broke due to your negligence, then you are liable to compensate the mall owners for the value of what you damaged, or to provide a similar replacement.
