Is it permissible to pray in work clothes if the clothes are dirty?

The worshipper is required to present himself for prayer in the best appearance and finest clothing, as Allah Almighty says: (O Children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid). If he prays in his pure, but dirty clothes, there is no sin upon him, and his prayer is valid. However, it is emphasized that he should change his clothes if he is praying in the mosque, to prevent harm to other worshippers from bad odors and the like, and there is no difficulty in that.
