It is not permissible for a woman to expose any part of her body that must be covered to non-mahram men. Nor is it permissible for her to uncover it in any place where there is a possibility of non-mahram men seeing her, even if it is in her home or its courtyard. If she opens the window, she must cover herself if there is a fear of non-mahram men seeing her.
